About

We learned field service from the inside.

Consulting for hundreds of these businesses. Building the software they run on. Selling companies of our own. Nearly twenty years of it, together.

Who We Are

Fairtide buys and grows essential field service businesses, bringing the experience, the technology, and the capital to do it.

Fairtide is a partnership between operators, not a fund that learned about field service from a deck. We have built the platforms these businesses run on and spent years alongside the people who run them, which means we know what an owner is handing over and what it cost them to build it.

What we bring is straightforward: the experience to see what a business actually needs, the technology to deliver it, and capital structured to fit the owner's situation rather than ours. We commit for the long term, we keep the people who made it work, and we measure ourselves by whether the business is stronger a decade from now.

How We Know It

We have come at field service from four directions, and every one of them taught us the same thing.

We consulted for hundreds of them

Enough of these businesses, across enough trades, to know which problems are universal and which are specific to a shop's own history.

We built the software they run on

The dispatch boards, the mobile tools technicians carry, the marketplaces where these businesses compete for work. We built and operated them.

We sold companies of our own

We have been on the other side of the table, including a field service platform we took from founding to acquisition by a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company.

We have backed them as investors

As operators and as financial backers both, which is a different kind of education than either one alone.

What all of it taught us: the businesses that win are not the ones that get reinvented. They are the ones that get real experience, modern technology, and the right capital behind the direction they were already headed.

The Two of Us

Dan and Tom have built and exited companies together for nearly twenty years, most recently a field service software platform they took from founding to acquisition by a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company in 2022.

Tom Boosinger

Tom Boosinger

General Partner

Tom's superpower is go-to-market and growth.

Every business Fairtide buys already works. Tom's job is making sure more customers find it. He has spent nearly three decades building the commercial trust and go-to-market playbooks that turn a solid operator into a market leader, work he has applied as the founder of an award-winning consultancy and as an active investor across the software ecosystem.

Dan Bergner

Dan's superpower is technology and operations at scale.

Fairtide does not just buy field service businesses. It modernizes how they run. Dan has spent his career building the software, and more recently the AI systems, that field teams actually use, most recently leading product and AI strategy for one of the country's largest field service platforms.
